Hello. And welcome to my little corner of the InterWeb.

My name is Cathy and I am a freelance photographer based in Sydney, Australia. I have recently returned from London, where I have been living for the past 10 years. Unlike most Aussies living in London, I genuinally loved living there, and considered the UK my home. No-one is more surprised than me by my decision to return to Australia, but hey…here I am.

I have been dabbling in photography for a number of years now, but recently decided that it was time to turn the passion into a business. Life’s just too short to not take a calculated risk or two.  Turning a creative endeavour into a functioning business is challenging to say the least, but challenges are good. Challenges help us to keep growing. And if I sometimes want to curl up into a ball and not read another word about marketing or keywording or bookkeeping or networking; well,  i just strive to keep going and work through it. Alternatively, I turn my back on it all for the day, and enjoy a lovely glass of wine.

This blog is my place to consolidate my work and personal projects, link to those photographers who inspire me (and to whose dizzy heights of talent and creativity I aspire), and to keep pushing and growing in my craft.
